Mongolia: A Gobi Lodge
Six days in Ulaanbaatar and the southern Gobi, by air
Mongolia is the least densely populated country in the world, and most of what there is to see lies far from any city. This short trip reaches the southern Gobi by air, so that days are spent on the ground rather than in a vehicle. You spend a night in Ulaanbaatar on either side, and three nights at Three Camel Lodge, a small lodge of ger-style rooms in the Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park, run on an all-inclusive basis with guides, meals and excursions. It is the most expensive itinerary on this site per day, and the price reflects how remote the setting is.
This is a starting-point itinerary — we adapt every detail to your travel dates, interests, pace, and group. Speak to our concierge to begin.

Best time to go
June to September
The only time the lodge and the domestic flights to the Gobi run on a full schedule. Days are warm and nights are cool. July is the busiest month because of the Naadam festival. In spring and late autumn, the lodge's rates are lower but the flight schedule is thinner; we confirm what is flying before we quote.
Less suited: November to March, when temperatures fall far below freezing and most camps are closed
from €750 per person per day
This is an indication, not a quote. It adds up the lowest published entry-level rates we found for the hotel we priced at each stage, plus the cost of a private guide and car, divides by 2 travellers and 6 days, and rounds up to the next €50. Peak-season rates, larger rooms and the other hotels named above will change it. Your quote will be built on your dates.
